Processing.
Turning oilseeds, grain and coffee into oil, feed, flour, export coffee and certified seed close to where they grow.
What we do
Sunflower and soybean oil, oilcake and meal, complete animal feeds, maize milling, coffee processing and certified seed, in plants close to where the crops grow.

Why it matters
Uganda consumes about 410,000 tonnes of vegetable oil a year and produces about 80,000.15 Imports cost about USD 370 million a year, and less than 20% of the raw material used by the country's oil mills is grown locally.14 In 2026, processors were still reporting that oilseed supply lags behind processing growth.16
The feed industry needs about 2.3 million tonnes a year for poultry and pigs and is short of protein.17 Uganda grew about 200,000 tonnes of soybean in 2022/23.18 In coffee, authorities plan a gradual shift towards roasted and soluble products.12
