Farmer data platform.
One record for every farmer: registry, credit, quality, traceability and impact.
One record per farmer
Every AVERON farmer has one record: who they are, which cooperative they belong to, where their plots are, what inputs they received, what they delivered, at what grade, and what they were paid.
That record runs credit, quality control and payment. It is also the evidence buyers, lenders and funders ask for.
Built for basic phones
Uganda has 45.7 million active SIMs and 17 million mobile-internet subscriptions, with smartphones about a third of devices.33 Mobile money moves about Shs 191 trillion a year.34 In Teso, only 32.8% of people aged ten and over own a phone and 4.3% use the internet.3
So the platform is assisted: cooperative clerks and field agents register farmers and map plots, while farmers transact on basic phones and mobile money. FarmGate is how we are turning it into a service farmers use themselves.

Traceability
The EU Deforestation Regulation applies to large operators from 30 December 2026 and to small operators from 30 June 2027.32 Coffee entering the EU must be traced to geolocated, deforestation-free plots, and Europe takes about 69% of Uganda's coffee.10 The registry that manages credit also makes supply traceable from the first season.
Precision agriculture
Precision nitrogen management in maize can cut fertiliser use by about 30% without loss of yield, while up to 40% of crop yields are lost to pests and diseases.37 Our estates are planned to use soil testing, planting records and satellite crop monitoring, with the results brought to cooperative farmers as practical advice. FieldSight is the research behind the satellite work.
